The downhill walk from the top of Shwe Taung was quite different from the uphill, I saw both the trail and what was along it.

There was a ruin on the lower hilltop, I had no idea it was a religious place or military fort. In the history, this hill was once the stronghold of the Rakhine people during the First Anglo-Burmese War.

มีซากอาคารหลังหนึ่ง อยู่บนเนินที่อยู่ต่ำลงไปไม่มาก มองไม่ออกว่าเป็นศาสนสถานหรือป้อมทหาร ตามประวัติศาสตร์ ยอดเขาแห่งนี้เคยเป็นที่มั่นของชาวยะไข่ ในระหว่างสงครามอังกฤษกับพม่าครั้งแรก

Two eyes loved to look around both sides, but two legs had to be careful not to fall. The clear downhill trip seemed to be more exciting than the uphill in the dark.

สองตาก็อยากมองวิวสองข้างทาง แต่สองขาก็ต้องระวังลื่นหกล้ม ตอนเห็นเส้นทางชัดๆ ขาลงแบบนี้ น่าตื่นเต้นกว่าตอนขาขึ้นมืดๆ

There was a gold-painted Buddha Image at the foot of the hill, unnoticeable during the uphill trip.

มีพระพุทธรูปสีทองประดิษฐานอยู่ตรงทางขึ้นที่เชิงเขาด้านล่างสุด ตอนขาขึ้นไม่ทันสังเกตเห็น

The natural trail up to Shwe Taung was not easy to find without the navigator.

เส้นทางเดินธรรมชาติที่ขึ้นไปยอดชเวตอง์นี้ ค่อนข้างหายาก หากไม่มีคนนำทาง

Outside the east wall around the pagoda, there was also a stucco image of a man. From his costume, I guessed he might be a high-rank nobleman or even a king.

ด้านนอกกำแพงแก้วรอบพระเจดีย์ด้านทิศตะวันออก ยังมีรูปปั้นผู้ชายคนหนึ่ง ดูจากเครื่องแต่งกายแล้ว เดาว่า อย่างน้อยน่าจะเป็นขุนนางชั้นสูงหรืออาจจะถึงกษัตริย์

Our both shadows over the pagoda reminded me one important thing, here was a sacred religious site. 

He was warning me, are you coming to the temple or tour?

At the top of Shwe Taung hill, besides the main attractive golden pagoda, there was also another thing that should not be overlooked.

The stucco Maravijaya Buddha Image enshrined in a small shabby shelter on the east side of the pagoda.

I saw this image since it was still in the dark, the kindness in his face really touched my heart.

พระพุทธรูปปางมารวิชัยปูนปั้นที่ประดิษฐานอยู่ในศาลาหลังเล็กๆ โทรมๆ ทางทิศตะวันออกขององค์เจดีย์
